Introduction

Hi!
First of all, this blog is basically about Chinese and Malaysian cuisines.
We chose this topic because our group members are originally from Malaysia and China.
We love our traditional food!! 
Therefore, we would like to share why Chinese and Malaysian food are so mouth-watering :)


There are many types of Chinese cuisines like Sichuan cuisine, Shandong cuisine, Jiangsu cuisine and Guangdong cuisine. All these cuisines are differentiated by their style of cookings; braising, stewing, baking, wrapping etc., which makes Chinese food unique and scrumptious. In traditional Chinese cultures, chopsticks are essentially used at the table. Their food is already prepared in bite-sized and this will ease people to enjoy their dishes using chopsticks. What will you imagine if people asked you about Chinese cuisine? Well, you may automatically think of dim sum, tea, Beijing roast duck, Chinese fried rice etc.. Yummy! As many of China people move and migrate to other countries, this creates some creative cooking styles about Chinese food such as American Chinese food and Indian Chinese food.


Like Chinese food, Malaysian food also comes with varieties of cooking styles. Since Malaysia has multiple
ethnic consists of Malay, Chinese and Indian , this reflects Malaysian cuisines are extraordinary and delicious. Even cooking styles are different according to each state/national, all the spices and ingredients used are basically the same. What is so special about Malaysian food? You should imagine yourself in a world of rare tastes of food varieties but magically, you only eat one dish at a time. If you ever stepped on Malaysia land, you should get yourself a cup of teh tarik (tea is sweetened using condensed milk, and is prepared using out-stretched hands to pour piping hot tea from a mug into a waiting glass, repetitively; the higher the "pull", the thicker the froth) and a plate of nasi lemak (rice steamed with coconut milk served with fried anchovies, peanuts, sliced cucumber, hard boiled eggs, and a spicy chili paste known as sambal).

Is there any similarities between Chinese food and Malaysian food?
The answer is YES because rice tends to be a staple food in Malaysia and China.
